It's a Small World...

Like Jill, I often look to sitemeter to see where my traffic comes from. It's a pretty neat feature, and I'm constantly amazed to see all the places that readers call home. In the last 50 visitors, I've had people from South Africa, Egypt, Macau, Japan, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, the UK, and the United States.

I know who some of these probably are, but some of them, I haven't got a clue. I'd love to hear where some of you are from, how you found my site, what you think, or just, really, whatever you feel comfortable sharing. I think it's absolutely wonderful that so many people from all over the world can end up in the same place.

So, welcome everyone!

My name is Katy and I live in Toronto (and sometimes Kingston) Ontario. I'm a recent graduate of Queen's University and I found your site during one of those "everyone blogs on a certain topic" days through feministe. I mostly hover and don't comment but I thoroughly enjoy your writing. Keep up the good work!

Aussie here! I hopped over from Feministe on one of the self promotion Sundays and had a read through past entries and liked what I saw ^_~

I found you the same way katy did. I clicked a lot of links that day but kept yours in mind because we seem to have a lot in common (we both like comics/graphic novels and I have a passing interest in vid games though I'm not really a gamer myself)
I'm a 31 yr old from Montreal. You may remember me from the great body mod argument of 2007. I've been trying to post less often recently because I figure you must be sick of me. Heheh. (I've linked to you on my blog btw, niqueworks.ca, hope you don't mind.)

I sort of love seeing that I've been linked somewhere. I noticed that you'd linked to me some time ago, and I pop over sometimes to read Killing the Myth (great job on it, so far- I'm intrigued to see where it's going).

And, I can assure you, I'm not sick of anyone who comments on here- I love reading what other people have to say!

Thanks for the encouragement.

(I hope you weren't offended by my American-bashing if you read my Euro-trip post *cough*).

Donna Darko from Leftist Looney Lunchbox commented about one of your posts and I liked the part she had quoted. I read your blog, because I like your views and you seem genuinely interested in women's rights, which, I'll be honest here, is quite surprising, because most guys I hear talking about equal rights strike me as quite insincere (very professional method for picking up gullible women who love fawning over a sensitive man who takes their issues seriously) or as having issues with themselves (nice guy syndrome). The only question I have is, what motivates you as a man to deal with the issues of women?

I just recently moved to Amarillo from the DFW metroplex. I have been lurking at various feminist blogs for over a year now and have seen your comments at a few of them. Clicked on your name one day, discovered this blog, and have been lurking ever since.

I found your site by searching around for interesting feminist perspective blogs while at work about 2 weeks ago. And I have continued to come back to read new and old posts. I have really enjoyed your writing! (Tampa, FL)

I'm in upstate NY, and found your blog through Feministing or Feministe or The Curvature (can't remember which), all of which I read daily.
You're an excellent writer, and your perspective has really broadened my own.

I am probably the hit from Switzerland; I am from the US but currently living in Switzerland for a few months.

I found you through your name link on a feministing comment. I really appreciate your thoughtful discussions and analyses of feminist and social/political issues.

I'm in central Pennsylvania, near Amish country. I followed you from a comment on Feministe and a number of Shameless Self-Promotion posts there.

You have a lot of patience for a self-described cynic. It serves you well in Feminism 101-type situations.

Donna, you know that I'm a skeptical person and believe me, I have seen my share of male pseudo-feminists on the web. I just had to ask. :D

projekt, you majored in skepticism. =)

I'm from Wellington, New Zealand.

I've ended up here a few times via blogrolls, or links, or comments you've left elsewhere. This time I'm going to bookmark you so I can visit directly :)

I'm super late on this one, but I'm from Michigan too! Found you when you were guest-blogging at Feministe and got really stupidly excited to see another Michigan feminist. :)
