Is it just me...

Or is there a lot of tension around the blogosphere today?

It seems like it, to me, at least.

So, I just thought I'd share a couple of my favorite webcomics to lighten the mood a little bit.

Cat and Girl is almost pure awesome. It's got pop-culture criticism, a philosophical bent, and a slightly twisted sense of humor, and the source for one of my favorite t-shirts. Great stuff.

I'm also a big fan of xkcd, a very geek-oriented comic that plays around with computers, math, video-games, and general weirdness as well. Also: Bill Nye

So, enjoy!

And feel free to make some suggestions if you've got a webcomic you read, too.

Tension? Uh oh, where's the blog fight?

I love Dr. McNinja, and I learned about that comic through your blog (the other one maybe?), so thanks!

That shirt cracked me up. That's how I kind of feel about my own vegetarianism these days.

How do you feel about lolcats, Roy? ICanHasCheezBurger.com? They crack me up. If you like lolcats, then you might like ApeLad's comic based on it: the Laugh-Out-Loud Cats

There just seems to be an air of tension floating around several blogs. I wouldn't say that there are any all-out wars, but lots of people who seem a little bit on edge right now. Not even just on the feminist blogs I read- all over the place.

I assume it's aliens or something.

Doctor McNinja cracks me up!
He rode a raptor!

Air of tension? What the hell are you trying to say, Roy? Is that an accusation????

I've really been liking an online manga called "Aether" (http://www.aethercomics.com). It's got a fair amount of cliches in it, but it's an enjoyable read, the art is good and the female characters kick major butt.

Yeah, I agree. I've been chalking it up to Thanksgiving and the various approaching solstice holidays. I know that those are stressful times for me and it's probably been showing in my comments, and I'm assuming that they're stressful for other people with family issues as well. But what do I know?

Nothing you can't chalk up to racisms, sexisms and variations thereof. And the holidays? Exams?

On blog tension:
I've been sad to see that Renegade Evolution and Amanda Marcotte don't like each other as much as I like both of them. Oh well.

www.qwantz.com Dinosaur Comics!!! I like both the concept and execution of these comics. It uses the same frames everyday but somehow makes them see different every time.
